Sêv-yêvê Bî (/ˈarè/ /ˈjɘvɘ/ [jealous] [tray; platter]) is a subtropical Large Town located in Cliffmarsh Dutchy, Pifîkèli Provence, within the Dalandic Empire.

The name Sêv-yêvê Bî is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Sêv-yêvê Bî was founded by Cú̄́̄̋ Sēshīb 'Chloe Deific' Cawmé Yaw̄kīsh Ermé Zlêyêpí, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Sêv-yêvê Bî has a yearly average temperature of 28°C (82°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 32°C (89°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 25°C (77°F). Sêv-yêvê Bî receives an average of 138 cm/y (54 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Sêv-yêvê Bî covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 4292 m (14081 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Sêv-yêvê Bî was founded durring the late 16th century in fall of the year 1468, by Cú̄́̄̋ Sēshīb 'Chloe Deific' Cawmé Yaw̄kīsh Ermé Zlêyêpí. The establishment of Sêv-yêvê Bî was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Sêv-yêvê Bî's construction back out of the project. Cú̄́̄̋ Sēshīb 'Chloe Deific' Cawmé Yaw̄kīsh Ermé Zlêyêpí pushed on reguardles, and Sêv-yêvê Bî was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Sêv-yêvê Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Sêv-yêvê Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Sêv-yêvê Bî is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of premissive paverstone streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town rests behind a thin stone wall. The wall's design was likly directly copied from a castle's parmiter defences. It's simply that the arcatect made Sêv-yêvê Bî's wall substancialy thinner than a castle's walls. While the towers and gatehouses are adiquite, the obvious cost savings measure of making the walls drasticaly thinner reduces their ability to resist siege weapons greatly. The town's impressive-looking wall could fail at a critical moment in battle, and would likely not even resist a few bandits with improvised siege equipment. Astonishigly, the budget oriented are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.

A look around Sêv-yêvê Bî has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scutteling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s everything together. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Sêv-yêvê Bî long.

Civic Infrastructure

Sêv-yêvê Bî has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Sêv-yêvê Bî. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Sêv-yêvê Bî's parks.

Sêv-yêvê Bî has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Sêv-yêvê Bî.

Sêv-yêvê Bî possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Large Town. Sêv-yêvê Bî's grid is powered by a direct leyline tap.

Sêv-yêvê Bî has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Sêv-yêvê Bî's natural decorations nor waterways.

Sêv-yêvê Bî has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.

Sêv-yêvê Bî has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Sêv-yêvê Bî has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Sêv-yêvê Bî's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is admittedly strange and non-linear style rooted in defiance of symmetrical shapes. It championed the creation of buildings with a unique visual appearance. the structural norms of classic buildings and deforms or moves away from elementary architectural principles. By including non-linear designs processed into its buildings and favoring fragmentation, this style expressed a form of controlled chaos. Its buildings appear out-of-the-ordinary, draw the eye in immediately and sometimes create a feeling of strangeness. These distorted shapes and structure are not reserved to the building’s outer facade, they destabilize interior elements too, favoring minimalism and play on people’s perceptions by injecting a futuristic touch.

Due to the actions of local Kami, spring is long in Sêv-yêvê Bî.

The Drake, Forest near Sêv-yêvê Bî are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Sêv-yêvê Bî's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves creating small tokens to channel Elven High Magic energies of tier 1 via oratory performances.
